05/30/2005 I can't believe how customer-wonderful you guys are! Un-believable. I knew that there were companies out there like you, I just don't see them very often.
You know, I'm so thankful for the way you have responded & helped & patiently answered all my questions. I'm going RIGHT NOW to sign up for the lessons. If they are anything like your service, I'll be playing with Jimmy Buffett soon!
Thanks- |

05/27/2005 Denny:
I had to drop you a note about this wonderful guitar. It arrived this afternoon just as expected. I have to tell you that I've spent the last 4-6 weeks doing all the research I possibly could about you, your company and your guitars. Everything I found simply raved about you and your guitars. I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I've only been playing for a couple of years and really only seriously for the last 6 months. But, I knew I needed a better instrument if I was ever going to really get the hang of playing.
My new ZAD-50CE-OM is definitely NOT a disappointment. Right out of the box it needed a slight tuning adjustment but that was to be expected since we had a pretty good temperature drop in Texas over the last couple of days of its shipment route to me. But, it adjusted with little effort and played better than I can even describe. I had it delivered to my office and as I started playing people from adjacent suites came over to check it out. The sound is absolutely beautiful. I can attest, as others have done, that it gives higher end Martins and Taylors a run for their money. I've played a lot of guitars in the last 3 months or so in my quest for a good instrument and none ranked higher than my new Zager for sound and tone.
The action on this guitar has to be seen to be believed! I can truly say that I've never seen anything like it in an acoustic setup. My poor sore fingers will be sore no more and they thank you. In fact, I've been sitting here playing this evening for more than an hour and can hardly bring myself to put this guitar down. That was something I could not even dream of doing with my other guitar. Twenty to thirty minutes with it and I was done for the day. I'm only taking a temporary break from the action now to write you this letter. I don't know how you do it but it's great.
I also wanted you to know that I signed up for your lessons. I've always wanted to learn finger style but it never "clicked" with me. Now that I've sat with your video lessons it has more than "clicked." Even my wife is amazed at how quickly I've been able to pick up the style. It has everything to do with your teaching. You make what has always appeared complex to me to be very simple indeed. I've got a 10 year old son who is playing drums and I could never interest him in the guitar. Listening to me play finger style has now piqued his interest so I'm sure I'll be back in a couple of months to get him a good instrument for his birthday and get him started with the lessons too.
Oh, did I forget to mention that this guitar is also a thing of beauty? Thank you for producing such a quality instrument at such an affordable price! |

05/26/2005 I received my Zad 50 today and I am just thrilled with it. It looks and feels much better than it does in the pictures on your website. It is a beautiful looking guitar and the pictures on your website do not do it justice. It has a nice solid feel to it, a beautiful finish, and the sound is terrific. I was stopping by Sam Ash Music on my way to work this week in New York City and trying out the Martin guitars. I was starting to wonder if I had made a mistake buying a guitar sight unseen. I was hoping that it would sound as bright as the Martins did in the store. Well, it does sound as bright or better!!! It has a beautiful ring to it and of course, it is easy to play, just like the ad says!!! I am not exaggerating when I say I am absolutely thrilled. Wow!! So thanks.
My advice for the Zager company: 1) charge a little more for these beautiful guitars. 2) Get some new pictures for the ZADs. The Sigma photos are alright but the ZAD's look like the body is smaller than it is in relation to the neck of the guitar. Probably a result of a wide angle lens. Also, the finish looks bad in the pictures. Like someone did a poor varnish job, too glossy. The guitar itself does not look like this at all. It has a beautiful finish and construction. You should have photos that caputre the beauty and quality of the guitar. Good luck!! |

05/23/2005 Hello guys. I just recieved the zad80 today and it is awesome. It looks like a $3000 guitar, and it plays great! |

05/20/2005 Dear Mr. Zager,
My wife got me the ZAD-80 for Christmas. I love it! It looks great and plays like a dream. I've been playing for 23 years and I've played a lot of guitars and this one is as good or better than the best I've had my hands on. I plan on purchasing the ZAD-80CE in the near future. Thanks! |

05/15/2005 Dear Denny, I have had my new Zager guitar for about 2 weeks and it is amazing! I have never played anything before and even with only 2 weeks I can now say I am playing guitar. Although I have a long way to go, I could not have made this much progress without the Zager E-Z play guitar. It is truly better than any guitar out there (and I tried a lot as I shopped around), especially for the beginner.
I signed up for your online lessons and the progress is amazing, even my wife can tell the song I am playing. The style is fun and it really makes my guitar sound great! And it is building the prefect foundation for many years of playing enjoyment! Thanks for designing a guitar that I can enjoy playing!
Sincerely,
|

05/15/2005 Thank you for your swift and detailed reply. You answered my questions fully and offered good suggestions. Your professionalism shows and I look forward to becoming a Zager student. I have played guitar for over twenty years but have taken only a few lessons and don't have a lot in the way of musical aptitude. However, I love everything about the guitar, it's sound, it's look, it's feel, it's soul. So as a life long student, my only desire is to learn more about the guitar and the revel in the pleasure of playing. See you online! |

05/11/2005 Hi, Denny, Just wanted to let you know I'm having a blast with my new guitar and your online lessons. I am really amazed and pleased with the speed at which I'm progressing. I spent years learning chords and strumming (b-o-r-i-n-g!) and finally gave up. When I found your website, I believed your promise, and decided to give you and your system a chance. Now, in just a few weeks, I am actually playing complex-sounding songs! Thanks for such a great system. It's a pleasure to play now! |

05/09/2005 Boy, you guys are terrific. Thanks so much.
The only thing that exceeds your customer service is
the quality of your guitars. |

05/08/2005 Just to let you know, I went to try out a classical guitar today and while I was at the Pro-Sound music store I decided to try out a Martin D28. First I looked at the price tag, $1599.00. I noticed it had a crack from the bridge all the way to end of the body so the guitar was at a discount price!!!
I played it a little and the ZAD80 has much better sound and is much easier to fret. The Zager beat the Martin hands down.
thanks again |

05/05/2005 I just wanted to let you know that the guitar arrived yesterday in what appeared to be perfect condition. I am a novice so I may have overlooked something but as I say it appeared to be undamaged. I thank you for the fast delivery I have signed up for the six month online lessons. I am older (45) and attempting to re-learn the instrument. It has been over 25 years since I picked one up. I will let you know within a month or two as to the progress, success or difficulilty I am having with the lessons. I will say that to my eye the guitar appears to be a fine instrument. I have been in the presence of very expensive guitars and I think I would have difficulity telling the difference. The finish is appears perfect and the detail such as the inlay is very nice. Thank you for your efforts so far. |

05/05/2005 I ordered the Martin Acoustic guitar for my daughter for Christmas. She's an athlete and seldom shows emotion, we joke and say "she's such a jock". She opened the box and caught her breath and said she wanted to cry.
She's loves the guitar and says it's so easy to play. She keeps telling me she wishes her dad and I played guitar so that we could understand just how awesome it is.
Thank you for your quick delivery of a guitar that makes a 15-yr-old girl an extremely happy guitar player. |

05/05/2005 Hi Denny,
I received my ZAD 50 a couple of days ago, Christmas present to myself. Boy do I know how to treat myself good! I happened across your guitars on e-bay then checked out your web page. A great ending to 2005. This guitar sounds so sweet and looks so beautiful that Iv' e been patting myself on the back ever since. You are a true artist and a gifted luthier. What you've done to the acoustic guitar should send all those other so called guitar makers running for the hills. Thanks so much in creating a work of art that will place you at the top of the top. Please let me know if you ever decide to move into the electric guitar world because I will be your first customer.
Best, |

05/02/2005 I just received it. It looks beautiful, and sounds fantastic from the few
notes I've played (can't do too much since I am at work). Sounds a lot
better than the Chet, or Ovations I've tried. I can't wait to get it home
later today and really play with it. I've decided your guitars are the
only ones I will get now. It'll make my Ibanez AW-100 which was my very
first guitar look like the black sheep of the group. Thanks again. Take
care. |

04/29/2005 I would have emailed you earlier but I have been under the weather since my guitar arrived Dec 23rd.I must say I was thoroughly impressed! I immediately signed up for the online lessons as well. So far so good. Although I am formally trained in music(Alto Sax player) I have never played guitar. I must say this going to be easy to learn on because of the mods you have made to the guitar. My 12yr old daughter has a new Carlos Robelli and won't even touch it now! She insist on using my guitar! Many thanks to you for this wonderful guitar.... |

04/26/2005 Hi, Denny,
I just wanted to say, that with your help, in the form of your online
lessons, that I've really begun to make great strides in my playing.
I've always loved the guitar. My parents gave me piano lessons while I
was growing up, so I already had a good base to build on. Twenty years
ago, I bought myself a Martin HD-35 and was determined to play it. I
went from teacher to teacher, never able to "connect" with that
beautiful guitar. Sadly, it went into its case and stayed there for
years, because I was convinced I had neither the talent nor ability to
play it. I finally passed it along to a friend who had a deep
appreciation for it, and I was able to enjoy it through listening to him
play it.
I still hungered to play guitar myself, though. Somehow, just before
Christmas, I stumbled onto your website and bought my ZAD-80. The
promise of playing without dealing with sore hands awakened my dream of
playing. I signed up for your online lessons and began to watch them,
even before my guitar arrived.
I've spent the last week learning from you and practicing...and I can
honestly say that my playing ability and confidence has increased so
quickly and so much I can hardly believe it. This morning, tears
actually came to my eyes while I was practicing--it was such a joy to
hold that instrument and hear how *I* was making it sing.
I have a long way to go, but you've given me the confidence to try
again, and I thank you with all my heart.
Best wishes, |

04/23/2005 The wife of a friend of mine asked me to help her buy a guitar for her husband for Christmas and I spotted your guitars on ebay a week or so earlier. After reading up on your guitars and the money back guarantee I decided to give your guitar a try. I have never seen one before so I have to tell you I was a little uneasy about buying something that I had never played. In this world today there are so many times when you hear one thing but then are disappointed to see something else when you finally get up close and personal. Your money back guarantee, and even with the return shipping, was what convinced me that you must really have something.
Well you build an excellent guitar. I don't think I could have found anything new without spending at least a $1,000.00 more. I delivered the guitar to my friend Christmas morning and he was thrilled as well he should have been. Thanks for building a guitar that plays so easy and sounds so good.
Sincerely,
P.S. The UPS driver delivered it about 6:30 friday night. Thanks for getting it out right away. I can't believe it got here on time the week of Christmas. |

04/23/2005 Hi,
My son bought me a Zager for Christmas and am I ever pleased! What a great sound. I have had a Gibson J-50 I bought new in 1966 and it too has a very good tone, but not like the Martin.
Of course in the early 70's, I discovered I had no talent and I stopped playing. Every once in a while I start up again with the same results.
Anyway, Since I'm now retired I think I will begin again and I will try Denny's lessons and see if that might help me.
Thanks, |

04/20/2005 Dear Denny and Denny Jr.:
I just wanted to thank you both for helping my wife make this Christmas a very special one for me. Her gift of a ZAD-50CE made this a truly memorable day. The sunburst finish is absolutely stunning and, more importantly, this guitar sounds fantastic. I've been playing three other guitars (two electric and one acoustic) and with only one day of playing, this is already by far my favorite. It really is a joy to play - I've barely been able to put it down.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to complement you on your web site. It's one of the most comprehensive, thorough, and useful sites that I've ever encountered. The message comes across loud and clear that you folks are not only professionals, but that your work is a labor of love.
All the best to you and yours on this Christmas Day and, once again, thank you for a great guitar. |

04/17/2005 I wish you and staff , Merry Christmas and a great New Year. I am finally back to playing ( trying to) my Guitar after my surgery this past March. I LOVE my Zager and so does anyone that plays it. I will Never have any other Guitar but a Zager. Thanks again. |

04/15/2005 Anyone with young children: Everything they say about buying a proper guitar that sounds good & will enhance a child's inclination to play - is true.
Buy the Baby Zager and just keep it in view. They will slowly but surely become interested; especially if the parents give it the "good ole college try."
Regards, |

04/15/2005 It's here! What a work of art this ZAD-80 is! The minute I picked it up, I knew I'd made the right decision. Just on a lark, I barely touched the strings and strummed a G chord. Flawless. Absolutely no effort at all. I don't know what kind of magic you work on your guitars, Denny, but it's nothing short of miraculous!
I need to go buy a capo--can you give me some info on what I should buy? I'm anxious to start my lessons and learn the *right* way, finally!
Thanks so much for the extra effort to get my guitar to me before the holidays. That bright light in my house isn't coming from the tree--it's my big smile!
Best wishes for a happy holiday season! You've certainly brightened mine! |

04/15/2005 Dear Zager Guitar and Company,
Just received my new ZAD-50 Black Beauty Wed. evening, just four days after ordering late Saturday evening. Pretty fast shipping, especially right before Christmas. I just wanted to let you know that I could not be happier. This thing is SWEET. It has great tone and playability, and, just like you say, very little finger pressure is required to knock down a few chords. Looking forward to taking the online lessons, and hope to become a much better player very soon. NO, YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BACK!
Thank you very much. |

04/11/2005 To Denny and Denny Jr.
Wishing my friends at Zager Guitar a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May this holiday season be a joyous time for you and yours.
And I’d like to say thank you once again. I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy my ZAD 50. I am really looking forward to the day I will own another Zager.
Once again, Merry Christmas to the fine folks at Zager Guitar. |
