I received my ZAD-80CE today and it is flawless. I have been playing the guitar for over 40 years and this is the nicest and easiest to play guitar I have ever owned or played in a music store. This beats the Martin I have been playing for years hands down. The sound is unbelievable. I also want to complement you on your customer service. You guys rock!

04/14/2009 I just bought the Zager ZAD-50 OMCE and I must say that I am more than happy with it. Denny does a fine job of selling the guitar and stands by his word. It is a great guitar that is affordable and plays as well as a $1500 to $3000 dollar guitar. I know, I have played and was in the market for a Taylor 714ce, until came across a Zager Guitar on Ebay. I had my reservations about buying a guitar on the internet as it was, but I was convinced after cheking out the website and reviews at zagerguitar.com that it was worth a shot. I even checked other sources on the internet that weren't listed on the website. I couldn't find one bad word about Zager Guitars, so I figured 100% money back guarantee, I can't go wrong. My brother owns a Taylor 510 that he bought brand for $1500 and the action on it is the same as the Zager. Even he couldn't believe it! I was looking for an acoustic-electric and the sound on the pickup is perfect. It even has an on-board tuner, which was a selling point for me. This is the fifth guitar that I've bought, and the most excited I've been about a new guitar! Denny even threw in some Extra bonuses with the guitar!! I received a ZAD 50 CE Sunburst guitar for Christmas from my wife (Evelyn). Boy what a treat that was for me. I've always wanted a guitar and this one is a dandy. I've tried to teach myself to play a guitar years ago but once I got married and the children came along I seem to have no time for it. Now that the children are grown and out of the house I'll have time to spend on playing the guitar. It is so nice I just can't find words to describe how easy it is to do things with it (ie forming chords). I plan on taking lessons and hope to be able to play for my wife some day. |

04/11/2009 I discovered zagerguitars.com quite by accident and am happy I did. I got my ZAD-50 two days ago and have never been more pleased with an intrument. I play primarily folk music and have been playing a very heavy Guild 12-string for a number of years. Imagine my delight at being able to play actually standing straight up. Denny, your guitar is just tops. It's so easy to play. Hey, EZ Play, a perfect description. The sound is phenomenal too. If it sounds this good brand new, I can't wait for some seasoning to occur. 04/08/2009 Thanks, Dennis. I just ordered the 80CE. I am not even in the market for another acoustic but one of my work colleagues ordered an 80CE that arrived in the office yesterday. He's on business so I'm holding it for him in the meantime, which means I was able to play it and test it out. It is truly a stunning guitar - top quality woods and workmanship in every way. Today I received the ZAD-50CE that I purchased through Ebay. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and this was the first guitar I purchased without playing it first. Just another note from a satisfied customer. I purchased a demo model 50CE with the black finish. I am just learning to play but have always had an interest in guitars, friends who played, etc. Once I had decided that I wanted an Acoustic/Electric I read everything I could find for a couple of months, then started seriously looking with the help of a good friend who has played for about 10 years.
I tried out several $550-$600 models from Epiphone, Fender & Gretsch. A couple of these I didn't consider keeping because of the overall poor quality. I am very particular, but there were issues like the bridge wasn't totally stained (raw wood), inconsistencies in the finishes, glue drips, cracks filled with wood filler. I was basically so disgusted I went ahead and moved up a couple of price points to a Martin DC15E - almost $1500. It was perfect and sounded beautiful (nice and deep) except for the nice long hair in the finish someone left right on the face of the guitar. For that price, I couldn't look at that every time I opened my case.
So thank you for delivering to me a instrument that I consider a very good value. It is everything your website said it would be, definitely the easiest to play that I have tried to date, looks great (excellent fit and finish) and most important it has a full warm tone with outstanding resonance. My guitar teacher and the owner of the shop where I take lessons tried it out and where both impressed and were then blown away when I told them what I paid for it.

I ordered a new Zager Acoustic from you all about four weeks ago.... I have been in a time warp ever since it has arrived. I only stop playing to eat and sleep.
The instrument is beautiful and sounds fantastic. It has renewed my zeal for playing acoustic guitar. My belated Christmas present to my family and friends is a CD entitled "Songs I've Written and Songs I Wish I'd written". While I never realized my life long dream of being in a group called Crosby, Stills Nash and Kobet I am truly having the time of my life as a musician.

I just recently purchased a ZAD 80CE with the Hardshell case and want you to know I love the instrument. It is exremely easy to play and sounds awesome! I am so confident in your product that I have already referred several friends at least one of which has also purchased an instrument.
I have also started studying the Zager fingerstyle and am progressing well. It has been awhile since I have seriously played any music and the Zager style as taught by Denny is just what 'the doctor ordered' to get me back into playing some good music quickly. It's great!
Thanks so much for making such excellent instruments available at such reasonable prices. I easily see a ZAD 50 in my immediate future (sometime in 2008!). Actually, I want two, The Black one and the Sunburst. I just need to convince my wife!

The guitar is everything advertised and more. I am delighted with how easy it is to play and the sound quality. Signed up for round two! I just can't believe that a year's gone by already! And this time last year I thought "Love me Tender" was a song I'd never get! Gezzz.....Now I'm playing that in cut time just for fun! I've such a long way to go, though. Playing level 2s and playing around with 3s. I'm looking forward to the time when I can arrange some songs from traditional music scores.
If I had a dollar for every hotel I dragged my zager guitar into this last year I'd be rich. Sure passed the time away from home in a constructive way.
I suppose I should break down and buy the the 80 soon.

I just received one of your ZAD-80's as a Christmas present from my parents and I just have to say that this is the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. Not only are the looks stunning but the sound and tone is amazing. I have yet to plug it up to an amp yet but im sure that it will be even better. This thing is so easy to play and I just cant keep my hands off of it. One of my good friends has a ZAD-50 and he showed it to me about a month ago and I just had to have one. They are truely the best guitars out there for the price, you can't beat it. Thank you very much. |

They have a beautiful tone. We sold our Martin D15 to come up with funds for your guitars, and it was well worth it. I'd go for the Zager any day, and I did love that D 15. |

I just wanted to send you a note to say how pleased I am with my new guitar. I'm just a beginner who played a borrowed guitar, but I could never play it for more than 20 minutes at a time because of the pain in my fingers. Now that I have the Zager, I can play for an hour or more at a time without much struggle. I've taken a few of your online lessons and have improved 100% in just a few weeks. Thanks for making a guitar that's such a joy to play!

I deal with people ALL the time and my experience with your company was very good. Thank you. I bought a Gibson maybe 10 years ago and began to learn to play then golf took over my life. : )
I have a very good friend who plays/sings across the country and he's been on me to put in the time to learn/play and to just dedicate an hour a day. I finally gave in and decided to buy another guitar after selling my Gibson a few years ago. I was sure that a Taylor was what I wanted to buy because of the name and all around beauty the guitar has. It was only by pure dumb luck I came across your brand as I was looking @ acoustics on ebay. After a lot of thought I decided on yours and look forward to keeping my promise of an hour a day so that by this time next year I can surprise my friend Andy.
Alvarez gives him a new guitar every year as he sells many as he tours. I cannot wait to show him mine that he can see how good it looks and to let him play it and see how good it sounds as well. I Rec’d guitar on Monday. Excellent. I’m an absolute beginner, and I spent about three weeks at Guitar Center, and Fuller Vintage here in Houston, I can assure others that you’ve got the best value out there, the best value for those of us with Bordeaux tastes with Texas hill country budgets.
Now to the good stuff – clearly excellent sounding, the guitar is definitely easier to play than my son’s Baby Taylor; I only really noticed this after about 2 hours of strumm’n’ and pick’n’… no noticeable discomfort, and then I started playing with less force on the fret board and that worked nicely too. The workmanship is quite excellent, beautiful in all regards not already mentioned: Built in tuner is great to have, finish is very good, smooth and consistent, sustain ( I think that’s what its called) is far better than the Baby Taylor, and noticeably better than most guitars I’ve been able to get my hands on. I pretty much can’t tell you anything you don’t already know! Just confirming all the great things I’ve read, and now seen with my own eyes, and held with my own hands. I’m sure I’ll appreciate it more and more going forward. Couple that with the great experience and personal touches during the transaction, and I will definitely purchase another, probably an 80 CE after a while of learning on this one. I can’t imagine any reason why, if I buy another acoustic, it would not be another Zager. (I’ve already ‘tuned’ several of my friends on to your site and guitars.)

I just wanted let you know what a difference a few days makes. I changed the strings and the guitar is sounding great. Even the playability seems to have improved. I did go over to a local Guitar Center store and tried out a high end Martin, Taylor and Gibson. You are totally right when you say the Zager can hold its own next to any of them and the playability is not even close. Being use to playing only electric guitars I didn't realize what a difference there was between all these acoustic guitars. Thanks for your quick replies and excellent customer service. No regrets here, I am a HAPPY believer. Have a wonderful & Healthy Holiday.
