12/12/2006 Dennis,
Received the ZAD80 today. It's great! So suffice it to say I'm very pleased. Thanks again for the quick response to my inquiry and speedy shipping. By the way, my son Nick will be thrilled...no more competing for the 20CE!
Have a great weekend! |

12/12/2006 I LOVE THIS GUITAR.
Thank you so much. I took it out of the box and immediately started playing comfortably; it feels like a $1799.00 Martin I almost purchased....glad I waited! |

12/10/2006 Dennis,
The baby zad Zager arrived yesterday and I'm almost speechless. It is PERFECT for me. I am beginning to learn fingersytle and the Zad 80 was a bit awkard to learn that on. Even though I love the Zad 80 and the sound is absoutely beautiful I wanted to learn ingerstyle on a smaller guitar and then when I got the hang of it to start playing on the big one again. This smaller guitar fits me like a glove and it makes the learning process so much easier. God, you people make fantastic guitars. I wish the whole world knew about your company.
Thank you also for the box of martin strings. That was so generous of you to toss those in. They come in very handy. I used your dad's tutorial to change a set for the first time last week and I did fine. It was a little frustrating at first, but I got hte hang of it.
Thanks so much for all you have done to make this expereince so pleasurable for me. If it wasn't for your company I would never have kept going with the playing. Now, I can't go a day without playing. I practice 2-3 hours a day and love every minute. Well, almost every minute. There have been trying times when I wanted to slap the guitar I was so frustrated. You must know how that goes.
Again thanks so much, and tell your Dad he does a great job!!!!
Sincere Regards |

I just received my new guitar and it is phenomenal. Aside from the sound and appearance being perfect it is unbelievably playable. I always had difficulty making those 'stretch' moves with my left hand and as age and a little stiffness intruded I pretty much gave up playing. This is a new beginning.
Thanks also for the help in selection of an appropriate instrument for the type of music I want to play. You were right on with the sound! |

12/06/2006 You already know what this email is going to say, but after this 3rd zager I really can't thank you enough for what marvelous work you do. I just got the guitar this afternoon, and I've been playing it for the past 2 hours. It is such a fun instrument to play, the tone is so fantastic, the black finish with the abalone almost glows in the lights. The case it came in was fantastic as well. It looked so beautiful when I first opened it. While I was at the local music store yesterday, I tried some high end Taylor's, and Martin's and this sounds just as good and is easier to play. You guys are fantastic, and I can't reccomend you guys high enough. |

12/04/2006 I am a new to playing ANY type of instrument. I have been doing your lessons (love me tender) for a week now and just about have it down. The lessons are awesome and I can't wait to learn my next one. THANKS |

12/03/2006 Howdy Folks............. Still loving this guitar, yesterday was the first time I had played for hours straight in over a decade. I played three hours, and when I left my buddies house I knew I'd be playing some more when I got home, and I did. I like the soft style Denny plays in the instructional videos. Until the next time............. Peace and happiness........... |

11/30/2006 Denny's Sr. & Jr.,
I just received my ZAD-20CE. It arrived right on schedule (I arranged to work from home to be here for delivery). The guitar is beautiful and plays as E-Z as advertised. The sound is rich and full, without the tone thinness found in "reasonable" priced acoustics. A co-worker, who owns one of your guitars, was praising it to the skies. I had to see for myself and went to your website. Initially, I couldn't believe the prices for the guitars, especially how you described them. There seemed to be too much value for the price. Then I started reading the testimonials. Unbelievably positive. You couldn't do better if you wrote them yourselves. And a 100% money back guarantee. OK, I was convinced and ordered the 20CE.

11/30/2006 Denny:
Thanks for the reply. I bought my first guitar at the age of 46. I am 53 now. It is a Mitchell dreadnought. I ordered my Zager last December. No comparison. In the last 6 months or so I picked up the Mitchell twice. That lasted about 5 minutes. I can play much longer with the Zager. It is not unusal to go for two hours or more. I am making much faster strides in my learning. It is a joy to play.
Sadly I don't think I will be singing along with Mitch any more.
Thanks |

11/30/2006 Hi Dennis,
UPS got it here Friday afternoon.
I am very impressed. It does play very easily. I found myself playing difficult tunes that I had not played in years with ease. Notes were coming out cleanly and quickly. I think the most important thing was that it took the frustration out of playing.
I am also very pleased with the intonation. There is nothing more annoying than knowing you are tuned correctly and having fretted notes coming out sharp. The intonation seems to be great all the way up the neck.
Now, when it comes to the string separation, this is where the genius is. I really expected this to throw me off. Instead, it made the guitar easier to play from the very first chord. What a difference!
Thank you very much for the bag of goodies, too.
Thanks, |

11/27/2006 I am very happy with the instrument and it has already astounded many of my fellow players who have tried it. At least two that I know of have, or will shortly purchase one.
Thanks, |

11/24/2006 Thank you so much the guitar is beautiful. It plays like a dream and sounds great. Can't wait to show it off.
p.s. Thank you for the case and t-shirt. I will wear it next weekend at my first gig.

11/22/2006 Denny & Dennis,
I received my ZAD20CE a couple of days ago. This is the 10th guitar in the current collection, and the first ZAGER. I've been playing for 40 years and all 4 of my kids play. With the exception of a Peavey, we have Fenders and Gibsons and we have played all the major brands. I can tell you without reservation this is an amazing guitar, especially at the $495 price point. Beautifully set up. We've had all of our guitars professionally set up by a luthier for a "name brand" made in San Diego and a shop in Bellevue WA (they do customs for Randy Jackson, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains etc.)
You guys are absolutely dead on with your philosophy...it's about playability, not branding or cost. If anybody reading this is even remotely considering a ZAGER, put everything else aside and ask yourself what you really want in a guitar. If it's playability, not paying big bucks for the name on the headstock, this is money well spent. |

My ZAD-20/vs arrived Wednesday in PERFECT condition. The pictures on your site don't do the sunburst justice. It's beautiful.
Thanks again, |

11/20/2006 I'm a beginner. I've been taking lessons since late January and I've been saving to buy a Zager since I stumbled across your website after doing some google searches. My teacher said I was CRAZY to buy a used guitar from eBay but I had faith in the Zager name. After my first lesson since receiving the guitar, my teacher asked how much I paid. I got a great deal, paid less than $200 shipped with the hardshell case. He said that if I told him I paid $1000 for it he would have thought it was a good deal.
I LOVE this guitar! Even though I didn't buy it directly from you, I feel like it was, in a way, made for me. Thank you for your amazing product.
By the way, I'm preaching the gospel of Zager. I've already gotten three people in this area to say they're gonna buy one!
Sincerely, |

11/18/2006 Among all the folks in the world who love the guitar there are a precious few who are gifted and lucky and driven enough to make their living playing it. The rest of us are working stiffs who with varying degrees of success try over the years to develop enough talent to gain a measure of satisfaction from our guitar playing.
I come home from work each day and I am exhausted, stressed, sometimes frustrated, angry and disgusted. I need some form of relaxation for my body and rejuventation for my soul. Over the years I haved turned several times to the guitar to provide that release for me, but I was never able to develop enough skill and talent for it to be anything other than another source of frustration. Two months ago I got a ZAD-80 and some instructional videos for my favorite guitar styles. This attempt has been different. I have found that I am able to make noticeable gains every day in my playing and my time with my guitar has finally stopped being a frustrations and has become the release that I always hoped it would be.
The major reason for this is the ZAD-80. I am at last able to play a guitar without much of the physical discomfort that used to accompany every practice session. I am now able to grab chords that were impossible for me before. My playing time is at last relaxing and refreshing for me. I look forward to it with delicious anticipation each day and I relish the joy and energy it provides for me.
I have read the comments on the discussion boards about Denny's guitars and it seems to me that most of them are from folks who insist on believing that a guitar can only be considered "good" if it costs several thousand dollars. To me the definition of a good guitar is one that I can gain satisfaction from. It may well be that in the hands of Pete Huttlinger a 3000 dollar guitar will sound better than my ZAD-80, but I cannot justify investing enough money to own a Collings or a Petros or a high end Taylor. I am thrilled that at last there is a guitar that I can afford and that I can also play! In my hands, my ZAD-80 sounds better than a top dollar Taylor, trust me.
I know there are differences, but they are surprisingly subtle. I have a good friend here in my hometown who is a studio guitarist. He plays Taylors primarily, and he is a very talented fingerpicker. He has played my ZAD-80 and it is amazing - even to him - how similar it is t o his Taylor in sound and presence. As a matter of fact he is talking about having a cedar top built for himself.
Prove it to yourself, folks. If you are serious about wanting to play acoustic guitar, you can play these instruments. As an added benefit, you won't find a better company to deal with - anywhere. |

11/15/2006 WOW! Received my ZAD20 Black today. Fast delivery, excellent guitar. I am a raw beginner with very sore fingers but not for long. My friend who plays professionally had this comment once he had played the ZAD, "This is a Cadillac, no, even a Jaguar!" After two and a half hours of playing he and another 'picker' confirm that the ZAD would stand in with thier Martins or any other instrument. Excellent volume, excellent clarity, easy comfort, excellent playability. Well, you get the idea i'm sure. I will be learning on "The best!" Thanks for the 'extras' as well. Watch for the referrals!!
GOD Bless....... |

11/12/2006 Howdy Good Peoples,
I purchased a DR-41 almost 2 months ago. Not having played in almost 10 years, I am doing things I never could before. Just having a ball. The action is great and fits my hand nice for having small hands. I hit the harmonic notes on the 12th fret and the sound resonates for what seems to be infinity. My next major purchase will be a new computer, I've watched Denny in a couple of videos on this computer, but I need to get the new computer with updated Video Player, to really take advantage of the online lessons, no printer with this old hag either. I have the computer I want picked out and will put 1/2 down this weekend and finish paying for it and pick it up June 9th.
I have only used a pick 2 or 3 times. At 48 yrs. old I have premature arthritis already and the finger picking style Denny uses is just what I want, it allows more sounds and a softer tone yet you can still get edgy. I'll be glad when I get older that I dropped the pick. I probably won't be able to hold one when I'm 60+ and it will be much easier to learn that style now. I work with elderly people as a chef in Assisted Living and change is not a welcome notion when ya get that old.
We had an older lady there that was over 100 yrs old, she used to play piano in the silent movies. We have a piano there and she used to be able to sit down and play beautifully with no sheet music at all~!!!!!
I'm sure you got more than one e-mail so I'm done. Thanks Again.......Keep up the excellent work.......Peace............Tim |

11/10/2006 Wow! I am impressed! I was at work and the guitar came today. As I opened the case, I was impressed. As I took out the guitar and looked at it, I was more impressed. Then I tried playing it, WoW! Easy play is right!
I have played guitar since 1976 and had a few guitars in that time, but this one is the best. I wish I had heard about them a long time ago. I can tell that I am going to enjoy this, more as I play it. Thanks for the prompt shipment and answering my questions before I purchased it. I look forward
to looking more into your on line lessons as well. God Bless you as you continue your good work. |

11/10/2006 Hi Dennis,
What little time I have spent with it I have thoroughly enjoyed. Love the
sound and the action alot more than the Fender guitar it is replacing. If I enjoy it as much as I do the ZAD-20CE I have, and I am sure I will, I am in for some quality playing time.
I want to thank you and your father again for the quality instruments you sell, for your very fast service and best guarantee on the market. Received the guitar two days after ordering it. That is fast service.
Thank You, |

11/10/2006 Denny Jr.:
Thank you very very much. Appreciate the quick and thorough response to my question. You guys are the very very best. I am learning a new song every week and playing the ZAD20 is pure pleasure. I am now tackling a difficult song, Deacon Blues (Steely Dan) Becker & Fagen. Never in my wildest dreams believe that I would ever be able to play a song with so many difficult chords and chord changes but the ZAD20 makes that dream a reality. It really gives me the confidence to tackle the harder songs.
Aloha |

11/04/2006 Hi Dennis,
Sorry it has taken so long for me to get back to you. I believe my wife let you know I had some medical problems and that we need to ship the first guitar with the surface scratch back to you. BTW, the new guitar is absolutely beautiful, both in appearance and sound. My wife even commented at the beauty of the sound, and that?s going some for her to notice and say how really nice it sounds. I couldn?t sleep last night and this morning, so I wanted to get in touch with you to first thank you for your very excellent service and your?s and Denny Sr. craftsmanship and stunning set-up of this new guitar. It is without a doubt the best instrument I?ve ever played in my 30+ years of playing the guitar. Magnifico!!! Bellisimo!!!! I can?t use enough positive adjectives to describe this work of art. I think my Ovation and Fender are going to be collecting some dust being relegated to being alternate tuning guitars with very little playing time in the future.
Again, I am stunned at the sound that I?m getting with this instrument. This is the best buy on any guitar I?ve ever seen and I?ve seen, heard and played plenty in my day. You can bet that I?ll be showing off and ?singing the praises of your instruments? as well as, your great service.
Let me just end by saying that on a scale of 1-10, this EZ-Play Zager ZAD-80CE is a 100 that?s right ?one hundred?!!!! I look forward to hearing from you and please feel free to use this letter in your testimonials, as others should know and realize that what Zager Guitar promises in their advertisements is 100% on the money and a great bet for a beginner, just starting out or even an ?old timer? like me with over 30 years playing experience. Thanks so much Denny Sr. and Dennis Jr. and much success to you in the future. You can bet the next guitar I purchase will be the EZ-Play Zager ZAD-20CE to hear what the Spruce Tops sound and play like, if it?s anything like the ?80CE? I can?t wait till I can get the ?piggy bank? filled again to get the ?20CE? next. All the best to all those at Zager Guitar and continued prosperity!!!
Sincerely,
|

11/03/2006 Hey Guys,
My guitar playing is improving. I have noticed that because the guitar is correctly set up, it almost forces you to proper hand and body position, thereby forcing you to be a better player. I was having buzz but I was manhandling the neck, if I relax and and just play, no buzzing.
I am so happy with my guitar.
My warmest regards to you both, haven't had to wear my wrist braces at night since I got the guitar. That's as good as a miracle to me! |

10/31/2006 Hi Guys,
My daughter, Lane Morgan, received her ZAD-20 Sunburst yesterday. It is beautiful and she just loves it. Thanks so much for your help during our purchase and for the "goodies" that you sent us.
Best wishes, |

10/31/2006 Hello Denny,
I recieved my new ZAD-20CE today, in five days as promised. Looking it over I was impressed with this guitar. I tuned it up and began playing it til my son came home from work. I showed it to him and of course he had to play it, and it is agreed that we both
like this guitar. My wife overheard me telling Joel that I'd been playing it for about an hour, when she corrected me,saying yeah right, try two and half or three hours.
I'm self taught, and learning for 35 years. I've collected several guitars over the years. The closest one in comparison to the 20CE is my Seagul (handmade Canadian),an '84 model, one of their firsts. The playability is about the same, although the Zager has more volume. It is also a pleasure to have an onboard tuner! This is my first acoustic electric, and it's going to be much handier when it comes to jamming with my son, who's instrument of choice is electric bass.
I get together with my cousin,Roger, who has a band, once or twice a month. Ive been doing this for about a year. He's shown me lots of helpful things, and I am improving, but not as fast as I would like to. I don't believe in the old adage, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks", because I do keep improving, so i've decided to sign up for your online lessons.
I want to thank you for the oportunity to buy this fine guitar without the worry of whether I was making a mistake or not! There's not much risk when you have a moneyback guarantee like yours, and I have never purchased another guitar before without playing it!
Thanks again, and I look forward to learning from you. |

10/31/2006 Dennis: received my 20CE yesterday and just had my first opportunity to
plug it into my Fender amp. Oh, my! It sounds phenomenal! Like my ZAD-20,
it is so easy to play, even for a beginner like myself who is still trying
to "overpower" my instrument. I still must learn how to adjust the EQ for
different sounds, but that will come. Thanks again for a great product and
for all your help.
