06/02/2010 Beautiful: To look at, to play, to hear. Thanks. And thank you for the extras, too. [picks, tee shirt, photo, strings] A generous gesture. I have been playing for about 12 years, and this guitar is looking to be a better fit than my other two cheapo guitars. It's about time as my wife says, for a quality guitar! I'm going to play now. Thank you again Zager. |

05/30/2010 Dennis Jr: My Zad-80 arrived yesterday, and I love it. It's a truly beautiful instrument, a work of art, has a wonderful full sound and plays very easily. I was amazed at how easily it played. Even after I read all the testimonials, I was still skeptical about the easy playing. But it's true. I have to consciously avoid pressing the strings hard. It's so much of a habit. Thanks again for you help and patience while I was thinking about the purchase.

05/27/2010 Denny,
I am writing to tell you how pleased I am with my new Zager 50 guitar. While relitively new to guitars I know wood working and quality when I see it. I ran a custom recurve and long bow making shop for years, handcrafting bows out of exotic woods, with very high tolerances, where perfect glue lines and finishes are a must. This guitar is a beauty. The finish was immaculate. And it just sings, the sustain and clarity is as great as my buddies 1973 high end Martin. It's all noticeably better than my quality Washburn. The tonality is very balanced.
Pleasant, prompt, highly competent, no problems... have a great day and Thank You! |

05/25/2010 I bought my ZAD 80 CE back in May. I lead worship music for my local church and at the time i started leading worship I was playing a beginner to intermediate Dean Acoustic De Performer which is in the $300-500 price range and has built in electronics but a real thin sound and not a whole lot of warmth. I shopped around was considering buying a Guild D55 which retails around 2400+ which was a big price range jump for me considering my Dean. I stumbled across the Zager website, read a few testimonials and thought with the 100% money back guarantee, I had nothing to lose. The Zager team didn't use hardcore sales TATICS like musciansfriend, sameday music, ect... but answered every question of mine and was extremely helpful. When my axe arrived it was inarguably all that was advertised and the best sounding guitar i've had the priviledge of playing. It sounds great through the church PA. I think for the price range, quality, built in tuner, tips on maintaing the axe, ect the Zager is hard to beat when it comes to overall value for the price. If want something as close be prepared to fork out $2,000-$4,000+ a professional set up. |

05/25/2010 Denny,
My name is Billy Neagle from Elizabethtown, Ky and I just received one of your ZAD-50 Guitars and Pro Case. I am a 53 year old beginner and don’t know a whole lot about Guitars
but I can tell you that this thing is absolutely great. I have just started trying to play (2 weeks ago) and am just learning some very basic chords. I have been using a Fender (Alexxus)
acoustical guitar that has a decent sound but, wow, the ZAD-50 is just awesome in every way! I am very pleased with everything about it. Your String Science brings some very
refreshing technology to the table for a beginner. I have already let a couple of my (experienced) guitar friends play it and they had nothing but good things to say. It gets 2 thumbs
up from this ole boy and my friends.
I also want to thank you for a very high quality guitar case and the extras that were included with this purchase. Thanks for a great Guitar!!

05/25/2010 Dennis,
I received my ZAD-50 2 months ago. What a wonderful, exquisite instrument
this is! I truly enjoy the full range sound and the balance of the tune.
The set-up is intricate too. I have been playing for many years now,
sometimes for church groups and most of the time just for fun and for
myself. The ZAD-50 is by far the best I have. I frequent some music stores around, and I agree that the sound quality is comparable to those $3K models. When I play fingerstyle, the melody flows and sounds beautiful. (I think even my Husky enjoys the music.) I love my ZAD-50. |

05/21/2010 Your service and products are absolutely outstanding! I've used Musician's Friend & Music 123 and they can't touch Zager Guitar! It's good to know there's still a musical merchant that cares for its customers! I wrote to Dennis Jr. many times during the buying process this summer of my Zager ZAD 50 acoustic dreadnought. He answered all my questions thoroughly and sealed the deal for me. Members of Harmony Central recommend you guys. I read their reviews and I'm glad I did. Thanks again & have a great day. My beloved black ZAD 50 & I have some practice to do.... |

05/19/2010 Denny, I just wanted to let you know that I have been playing the new guitar and that it is no
comparison to the one that I had been playing. The guitar has a great sound and the way that you have designed the strings to be so close to the fret, I
don't have to press as hard to get a great sound. The guitar is also great looking. I have purchased your online guitar lessons and the way you teach is
perfect. I did not know if I would ever learn how to finger pick a guitar. I have been playing a guitar for years, since 1965, and was in a band during my
high school years. However, I never learned how to finger pick. I purchased your lessons just a week ago and I can now finger pick the first song (Love Me
Tender). I am now starting on the second song, which is my favorite song for playing (chords). Now I can learn how to really play the song. |

05/18/2010 Hello Denny,
I just wanted to thank you kindly for the wonderful guitar. I have worked as an instrument manufacturer for Yamaha in the past. They closed shop last year and moved to China. I am currently running my own instrument repair shop with my friend Tim Smith from Yamaha. While at Yamaha I was a woodwind tester and manufacturer. I play flute, clarinet and sax. I have a music ed degree and am in a masters program for education at the moment.
With these things it mind, I know a quality instrument when I see one. This guitar is wonderful! I had given up on guitar in the past because it hurt my fingers so badly. I am now able to practice with no trouble!
I also commend you as a great american businessmen. It is wonderful to see that someone out there will still stand behind their product, and also provide quality customer service. From start to finish this was a beautiful transaction. Your son was so kind to email me promptly and answer all of my questions.
Thank you, |

05/15/2010 Oh my gosh. What a beautiful instrument. Delivered quickly, carefully packaged, and I was not ready for what I found when I opened the case. I have been playing since my 13th birthday, that was in 1966. I've had numerous instruments through the years. Some I have kept for more than 20 years. This is the nicest guitar I have ever touched, held, or had the pleasure to play. Can't believe I only recently found out about you. This axe is exquisite.
Plays better than my $2700 Taylor. Plays better than my $3000 Adamas. Looks better than any guitar I have ever laid eyes on. I feel honored to own such a wonderful piece of equipment. Thank you, thank you. I can not imagine anyone of any playing ability or level that would not LOVE this guitar. You guys are the best. I am a very happy customer. |

05/15/2010 Greetings from the expanse of North Dakota! Things have really changed for me since teaming with Zager in February '07!
Simply put, I know I would never have started playing if I had not found you guys, and the ZAD50. I determined to learn, at age 52 (initially on an old Yamaha) and experienced nothing but frustration and sore fingers. Needless to say, the Zager guitar changed everything for the better. I even signed up for a year of instruction. Although I feel that fingerstyle isn't my forte ( that may change, still) The instruction proved valuable indeed. I am slowly building a repertoire of country, gospel and a few classics based mostly on basic chords, learned through the ease of playability of my guitar, practice and determination. As I learn more, I find that playing is a great stress reliever and can hardly wait to pick up my guitar at the end (or even prior to the beginning) of a long day. I've played at a few local jams, and just this morning, the Pastor of our church asked if I would play for our congregation. Never, even in my dreams, did I see that one coming! I plan on attending a week-long bluegrass and gospel camp, where players from all over share their skill and techniques with beginners like me. When comparing my guitar to others, I have played many $1000-$1500 guitars in the closest music store, and have found none that compare to the Zager in ease of playability and great sound. Thanks so much, Denny and Dennis, for a quality product that has truly broadened my horizons and changed my daily life.
Congratulations on your retirement Denny! Even when we are doing something we love, time eventually brings us to the point where we just want to take it easy. I'm happy for you, and hope you have a long and enjoyable sunset.
Best always, |

05/15/2010 Hi Denny and Denny , I love my new Zager ZAD-80 acoustic guitar! I could almost feel a sigh of relief when I unwrapped it and set it in the light. Beautiful-just to look at ! Instantly it "felt right" and it rang out a C chord. Even though I wanted to play , I let the guitar "cool down " and "breathe" all day until the next morning-and it sounded even better. As I tuned it it began to resonate - and I was in love. It has been a month and I have played every day but 3 (gone fishin') . It still surprises me with its versatility and tone. Excellent. As advertised, the Zager String Science EZ-Play felt like it was custom fitted to my wide palms and short fingers. Honestly, it is even better than a player can believe -until you try one. I can truly say this guitar is warm ,bright, full and rich .Straight as a laser and true up and down the neck. The action is perfect.I sincerely wish to thank you both Father and Son , Mr. Zager Sr. and Jr. And yes, I have owned and played many a fine guitar- And yes, after playing over 40 years,my hands are not so limber and this is my daily player and enables me to enjoy the sweetness of a finely made musical instrument without having to stop because of pain/fatigue-that is a blessing . Respectfully, |

05/12/2010 Hello Dennis,
My new ZAD-50 Natural just arrived about an hour ago. It's absolutely great! I've gone through several acoustic guitars and was never truly happy with any of them. They looked and sounded great, but were never enjoyable to play. In the area I live, I have yet to find a "luthier" that I trust to work on any of my guitars.
I knew in the first few minutes that this is a great playing guitar. The craftmanship is icing on the cake. This guitar is really nice to look at. I'm am very particular and have better than 20/20 vision. There is not a flaw to be found anywhere. The gloss finish isn't thick and feels nice to the touch. The weight of the guitar is suprisingly light. Overall, it's a fantastic guitar with the set-up I've always strived for. I wish I would have found your website years ago. I'd probably own one of everything by now.
Thank You, |

05/09/2010 Denny, About your lessons I'm currently enrolled in; I loved the detailed explanations and the slow and steady method you used to help me get it just right. The different camera angles also helped me see where you were coming from, as well as you allowing and suggesting for me to go off and practice. You are a very encouraging man and I've learned guitar from zero experience thanks to you! Also, I love my ZAD 80 so much I won't let my friends play it. It's too special of a guitar to risk it! Best sound I've ever heard from an acoustic. Thanks again Zager Guitar. |

05/07/2010 Hey Dennis,
Received the ZAD-80 Friday, open it up, and realized this is a good-looking
guitar. Start to play it
and man, it just resonates like I've never heard. You've heard the accolades
thousands of times, but I can't think of a Martin or Taylor I tried in the shops
that caught my attention like this. The 50 sounds on a par with the best I
tried, the 80 surpasses them.
I'm glad I had you send the 80, I always would have
wondered if I hadn't tried it. After playing the 80, I can honestly say I don't
regret not being able to afford a D-35 (well, it'd be nice to be in a position to
afford it, right?) but don't feel I'm missing out on a thing with the ZAD-80. I've
never heard a better sounding guitar.
Thanks so much again, you may not realize how
refreshing it is to have a company do business the way you guys have.
You are truly living up to your reputation that's
been well documented, and I'm very grateful to you and your
father. My son, a music teacher, likes your guitar better than
his so I'll be sure and have him pass on the good word about
your organization to his students.
Another Zager convert, |

05/06/2010 Hi Denny
I have had my ZAD-50CE now for about a month, Just a short note to tell you how very pleased I am with this guitar. From the moment I pulled it from the box then out of the case
I have loved everything about this guitar, the rich sound, the fit and finish and # 1 how easy
it plays. I had this guitar just over a week when I plugged into a friends acoustic amp and
was very pleased with how great it sounded.
I put this guitar in two of my musican friends hands and both loved it with one friend stating
that he had to have one of his own and the other saying that this guitar virtually plays itself.
Denny I did what so many other folks on these testimonials said that they have done and gone to the big guitar stores and played guitars that were way more expensive but did not find a one that could touch my 50CE in a price range anywhere close
The only way I see me ever parting with this guitar is to upgrade to the 80CE most likely not even then. Thanks for a great guitar at a great price |

05/05/2010 Hey guys. Just wanted to drop you a line. I bought a ZAD 50-CE two years ago. It’s a magnificent guitar. The finish is perfect, and it plays like a dream. The guitar went from being great, to being unbelievable. I am a worship leader, and play my Zager every Sunday and Wednesday. The guys I play with have a very upper end Taylor (2500.00), Martin (1200.00), and a Takamine (900.00). My guitar blows them away. Even by their own admission, my guitar sounds better than any of theirs. Thank you for this beautiful instrument I play ever day. |

05/03/2010 Hi Denny,
I received my sunburst ZAD-50CE last month. My dad bought two Zager acoustic/electrics within the last year, and I was so impressed by how easy they are to play, that I finally decided to get one. When I received the package and opened the case, I was in awe by the quaility and beauty of the guitar. It looked even better than the picture on you site. It is the easiest playing guitar I've owned. I can play for hours after hours. I brought it into work several times. People were impressed the rich quality sound it has. I told them to go to your site. I would recommend your guitars to anyone. Thank Again! God Bless you. |

05/03/2010 I AM IMPRESSED!!!
I have about 18 guitars. Six of them hi end Martins and three of them hi end Guilds. I ran across Zager guitars while surfing E-Bay. After reading his promo I decided I would try one. I have been playing for the last forty eight years. When the time came in life that I could afford better guitars I started having problems with arthritis in my fingers. I could only play for an hour or so after taking Aleve. After reading about Denny's string since and the testimonials I decided to see if one of his guitar set ups would help ease the pain in my hands while I played. I received the Zad-80 yesterday 5/22/08. I was impressed with the appearance from the start when I took it out of the case. I gave it a good once over before I started to play. I started to tune the guitar and found it in perfect tune except for the second string. I played till the tips of my fingers were so sour I could play no more but my hands did not hurt and no Aleve. The sound quality is right up there with the best sounding guitar I have, right out of the box. You can not beat the quality and set up for the money. It was a beautiful day here in North Carolina yesterday and I set out side and played for hours till dark. I have worked in quality control for 30 years and the quality is in this guitar is outstanding!! A man that will take the responsibility and put his name on his work as Denny dose and even provide pictures has my respect. If he would set up the other guitars I have I would send him all eighteen. I have a D-18V and a D-28V that have good set up on them but Denny’s work is far better. I have a fondness for mahogany guitars and will buy a Zad-50 before the year is over.
Denny thanks for your work and making a guitar an old man with bad hands can play and enjoy!!
What a joy!!!
Thanks again!!!!!!!!! |

04/30/2010 I recieved my ZAD-50CE in the mail last week and I must say that it is the nicest playing acoustic I have ever played. I have played acoustic guitar for 41 years. Recently, I have played Martins, Taylors and a top of the line Ibanez. I have played the Martin, which was almost four times the cost of my ZAD-50CE. I have also played the top end Ibanez since purchasing my ZAD-50CE. All three guitars I played through my Matrix 1000. The ZAD-50CE played easier than the Martin or Ibanez. My Zager also sounded fuller through the same P.A. It has such great tone from top to bottom. The lows is what I was really impressed with. Unbelievable. Even the Martin and Ibanez owners agreed. They loved it and both plan on purchasing a Zager guitar now. This guitar is a diamond in the rough. It's hard for me to believe Zager guitars can offer such a great guitar at such a low price. It is also a beautiful guitar. Now that I own a Zager I plan on buying another for my backup guitar while doing my solo acoustic act. I have a Martin for that but the Zager has spoiled me. It's the only guitar I want to play. Thank you so much for making such a great playing and sounding guitar. Any guitar player that has played my Zager through my Matrix 1000 are blown away. Then I tell them what I paid for it. The Martin owner wouldn't believe me until I showed him the Zager website. All he said was "Wow." I have never been any happier with any acoustic that I have owned or own now than I am with my ZAD-50CE. My next guitar that I purchase is going to be the ZAD-80CE. Thank you so much. I am so glad I took a chance and bought this guitar without even playing one. I am a Zager believer now.

04/27/2010 Thank you Zager guitars! I just received my Zager guitar the other day and I immediately fell in love with it. The asthetics of this guitar are so beautiful. It was almost too hot to touch. The solid spruce top had just the right amount of character, and the mahongany on the back and sides boasted so much appeal that I almost forgot what I was holding for a moment.
The playability of this guitar is amazing. I've never been able to play multiple bar cords on an acoustic before! Now the transitions, the action, the tone....amazing! Just plain amazing! My fingers weren't even sore the next day after playing the guitar for about 5 hours the night before. I've played Alvarez, Washburn, even a Taylor or two, and absolutely none of them compare to the playability of this guitar. Especially for the price. I almost feel bad for paying so little for such a quality instrument.
The construction looks good as well. Overall I'm very impressed, and as an active musician I find it very hard to put down. In fact I was late to work this morning because I was playing for so long! whoops.
I will definitely do business with Zager guitars again! Before I got this guitar I was jealous that two of my band mates had Martin D18's. Now the only thing I'm jealous of is that I only have one of these guitars because I alrady want another. THANKS!!! |

04/25/2010 Dennis,
The guitar is stunning and very high
quality. I have 25 guitars acoustic and electric and have been playing 35
years off and on. I am very impressed with the quality of the ZAD 80 CE. I
have a friend that has a Martin Clapton and the Zager plays better and in my
opinion sounds better. The Larrivee OM-5 that I am comparing the Zager to is
about 9 years old. It has fantastic sound and has incredibly low, easy
action. I guess that I am spoiled. I have a Taylor 514 CE and the Zager does
indeed play better and easier than it does. Thank you for your time... Sincerely |

04/25/2010 Dear Denny,
The minute I saw the site and the price that you
charge for the lessons I immediately saw a helping hand there,
cause there is not another place that I can think of getting
that much musical knowledge for that bit of money actually I
really consider that as a gift to the world. the course is great
the knowledge is awsome, the patience, the caring and the
information are imperative. i tell
you what just like someone else on the site mentioned you do not
want to put that guitar down when you're playing it. No more
fingers' pain, blisters and or cramps and the sound is perfect.
You give it a perfect title EZ-Play and it is.
Thanks for
help.

04/25/2010 Hi Dennis
I had a friend play the guitar and he said it played like a cloud. He
could play it for hours and not have sore fingers. He said it sounded
good and looked good. He thought it was an expensive guitar somewhere
above $1500. He is a Martin fan. So all in all, I do appreciate
the new guitar and I am happy with it. Would I suggest Zager to
friends, yes.
Thanks |

04/21/2010 Hi, Denny. I have been playing a Zager ZAD80CE for a couple of years now, and I have to tell you what a fine intrument it is. I have been playing for 45 years, have owned Gibsons (J-50, L-5, Songbird, ES335-12, EBO bass), Epiphones (Joe Pass II, Les Paul 100), Martin D-12-20, Takamine EF261SBL, Regal roundneck steel, Yamaha SGL100N, and a couple of no-name specials. Your guitar is the one that I pick up to play most often of the 9 instruments that I have around the house now.
On top of that, there is no way to beat this instrument for value when you consider the very reasonable price for so much fine tone and easy playability.
Thanks very much for making such a fine instrument available (which may still be making good music in the year 2525!) |

04/19/2010 Hi Denny,
I have an old Taylor and a Yamaha -- though the Taylor sounds "larger" and offers better sustain, the Yamaha is by far the easier guitar to play and, consequently, it is the one I record with. Note that the Zager obliterates them both with respect to end-result recorded sound quality, particularly for sustained harmonics. I have a Behringer ACX1000 acoustic amp and the combination is stunning. I do more than just strum or fingerpick, I use multiple techniques -- tapping, press chords, double-lift harmonics -- sometimes all together in the same phrase. If I had to characterize it, I would say it falls somewhere between John McLaughlin, Larry Coryell, and Al DiMiola. In other words, I'm all over the place, everywhere, and quickly. There literally isn't time for me to press deeply into the higher frets -- sometimes a quick touch is all that's possible. Consequently, for me, predictable full-fretboard response is critical. This is what initially attracted me to Zager. I'll send you a recording at some point, you may possibly hear some things coming from a Zager you may not have heard before.
I deeply appreciate your prompt, thorough, and professional replies. It's always a pleasure to see someone carve a perfect niche for themselves in the Internet world with a quality product that speaks for itself. I wish you continued success.
Thanks again, |

04/18/2010 Denny, your knowledge of the guitar is amazing. You have taken me from having an interest in playing the guitar, and instilled the desire to become a true musician. For this, I owe you everything. As an instructor, you provide me with musical pieces of progressing difficulty, without any unreal expectations. In one summer, I accomplished more than I thought I would in a few years, which can definitely be attributed to your talent as a teacher and a musician. Your way of playing guitar is unlike anything I ever thought I'd learn. I'll probably be teaching my son when he gets a little older. How sweet will that be! |

04/15/2010 I received my ZAD50CE a few days ago. When I open the box I carefully unwrapped it and could not help but be very impressed with the beauty in the details of this fine instrument. I gave it a quick fine-tune and began to play. The feeling reminded me of my first date with my wife and soulmate--a bit cautious at first, but soon a wonderful sense of comfort and ease. The guitar fits me so much better than any I've ever played. I was able to pick some licks that had eluded me with my old Epiphone that I've been playing for the past seven years. I carried it to band practice that night and the instrument awed my bandmates with its playability and tone. I daresay that at least one of them will be placing an order in the near future.
I tried most of the other brands--Taylor, Martin, et al--at the local shops and kept being intrigued by Denny's videos and other testimonials. After a couple of quick e-mails to Dennis Jr., I placed my order and got a taste of the great Zager customer service. The extras were nice, too--I wore my tee that day and have the Polaroid of Denny and my guitar on my office wall. I highly recommend the guitar and the service of Zager Guitars. |

04/15/2010 Hi guys,
I received my new Zager guitar from you early last week. I had read many testimonials before I decided to buy, because anything coming mail order is suspect to me unless it is from a known source. Sometimes things just don't go as expected. You know what I'm saying, we've all been there. That was absolutely NOT the case here. I must say that your guitar was everything it was advertised to be and more. For the low price I paid, I expected some unexpected surprises in the form of poor quality or workmanship. Not so! Dollar for dollar I doubt you could match the quality and playability anywhere else.
I have played different guitars off and on for quite some time, but never considered myself very good at it. Within the first hour, I knew things had changed for the better. It is hard to believe just how much better my timing became, simply because this guitar is so smooth and easy to play. It is so much more fun playing now than ever before. I sincerely thank you. |

04/15/2010 I have purchased two Zager guitars from Denny. A 3/4 and a full size. They are both excellent in quality and in sound. Also, Denny is so easy to work with. It is a pleasure and I am sure we will be doing business again. Thank you. |
