I can play alot longer since the strings are closer to the neck. So ease of play and still having a good sound

I heard about Zager guitars from a buddy,he was surfing the net and happen to fall on the Zager guitar site.He has since bought a Zager guitar and he love's it.
How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I have a Gibson Northern Jumbo,this is the Canadian version of a Gibson Southern Jumbo. The Gibson is a great looking guitar,my Zager is also an awsome looking guitar.After playing both guitars ,the Zager feel's better,and is a whole lot easier to play.It's exactly like Mr Zager say's 30 to 20 percent easier playability.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
I like this guitar a lot, because i can play a long time before my fingers get sore.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
At $995.00 Dollars youre most definately getting a BANG for youre buck,because this guitar could very easily sell for $1200 to $2000 dollars.
How would you rate customer support?
I think Dennis work's 24 hrs a day and 7 days a week,because any time i had a question for him,i had the answer shortly there after.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I most certainly would,i already have. A few of my buddies have already played it, and they loved it.One of my buddies plays a Martin HD28,and he's impressed with the playability and the sound of the CE80.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I was in the market for a smaller OM style guitar and was looking for the best price on a Martin 00/000 (which I had played and had mixed emotions based on the price and the playability. I own a Washburn and a Takamine and also had a Taylor (that was stolen). I have to say that I cannot find a guitar that matches the playability, looks, sound and size even close to the price. And frankly I would still pick the Zager over the other brands if cost wasn't an issue.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The playability is amazing, I can play for hours and not feel any hand fatigue.

How would you rate customer support?
Amazing! The response time is like nothing I've experienced anywhere. Within minutes of an email I got a detailed response. I tend to ask many questions, and given that I was buying a guitar site unseen or played, Dennis allayed all my concerns. I even got buyers remorse before it arrived because of all the negative talk out there on the message boards. With the money back guarantee, that became a non-issue.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I can't say enough good things about this guitar. I have been playing for 25 years and owned almost every vintage electric style out there. I wasn't as much of an "acoustic guy". When I decided that I wanted to get a smaller acoustic model and found what I was looking for with Zager, now it's all I want to play. The sound and playability are like nothing I've played. I brought it to a friends house recently who is a Berklee grad and his first response was "shoot now I need to buy another guitar". He had just bought a 2k Gibson, which is a gorgeous guitar, but for under $200 the Zager nails it.

my other guitar is a Ibanes AW-30 full size which my wife got me . i never played before and never felt comfortable with the size , being only five four created a reach problem . The 20om fits me just right . the sound and quality design of the Zager far out reach the Ibanez in this novices opinion . it is like comparing leather shoes to synthetic . no comparison . the tone alone was worth the purchase . ease of play will yet to be determined as i am a beginner but the om design does not make me feel awkward or intimidated .

My favorite part about this guitar is the fact that it is crafted in the USA by Dennis Zager . he signed it then personally tuned it before shipping . and it is beautiful to look at,simple and comfortable to hold . can't stress this enough .

I searched the Internet looking for guitars that were easy to play. In the past, all my hopes to play a guitar were eventually cut short by tender fingertips. I thought I would give Zager a try judging from reviews I had read.
How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
There is no comparison. My last guitar was not especially cheap and had a decent sound when played but was very difficult to practice on. I changed strings multiple times but that was not the answer. I bought the Zager Zad80ce nearly a year ago and am totally satisfied. It plays easily, looks absolutely beautiful and the case is substantial to protect my investment. The case even comes with an electronic temperature and humidity device to keep track of storage conditions to help protect my investment.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
I am most impressed by how well manufactured the guitar is. It is absolutely beautiful in fit and finish. Looking down the neck you can see the production accuracy that comes as the result of individual attention from a seasoned Luthier and precision craftsmen.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
On finally seeing the guitar and holding it in my hand, I would have guessed the price hundreds of dollars higher. I have been through countless music stores looking at guitars. My new Zager sounds much richer and carries the fit and finish of much more expensive guitars.

Customer support is wonderful. I mostly have communicated through email when I was trying to decide on models. I also have signed up for the guitar lessons (which are the most effective techniques I have ever studied). If ever there is a question, a technical issue or something I didn't understand, I had a friendly, intelligent email response sometimes in minutes but always in short order.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would, without a doubt, recommend this guitar. You really have to see it, hold it in your hand and hear its wonderful full, bright and clear tones to appreciate it. It really is easy to play, has onboard tuner, high end pickups and well, it's just a work of art.

This is the absolute best guitar I have ever played. The most expensive guitar was a used PRS @3,000.00. I tried a $1,000.00 Taylor and it was nice. I almost bought it!!!

I might have to buy another one for next Christmas. The good news is that they have both lived with me since they were babies and they still live with me so I get to play it sometime. I came upon Zager Guitars purely by accident. I had been considering a new guitar for some time and came across a Taylor 210 retail store demo available on Ebay. It seemed like a good deal and I actually placed the order for it, but being New Year's weekend, the order did not get processed right away. When I went to the website the next day to "look at it again", by chance I saw the Ebay ad for the Zager ZAD20 series guitars and started looking at them more closely. The more I read, the more intrigued I got. After reading the many testimonials - and of the complete satisfaction guarantee - I cancelled my Taylor guitar order and, on leap of faith, went for the ZAD20 Natural.
How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
Out of the box, the first thing I noticed was the quality of the case - solid, well made, truly protective, well worth the price. Out of the case the guitar was impressive! Construction was precise, clean and of high quality. I actually scrutinized the guitar for imperfections of any kind and found NOTHING! The finish was gorgeous - comparable to what I've seen in the most pricey guitars I've drooled over but could not afford. When I started playing, I was floored! The sound - crisp, full, rich, BIG! The playability - I never played so "clean", with so much less effort! Compared to my 31 year old (now cracked) Ovation Balladeer - and the many $800+ guitars that I've tried out over the years - the sound and the playability of the ZAD20 was strickingly superior. I was in Memphis several years ago and tried out a few guitars in the Gibson Factory Store after taking a tour of the factory. I almost bought one of the "low end" acoustics (for around $700)and am glad I didn't. Beside the fact that the low end models had not been manufactured in the factory I had just toured, in hindsight the finish was not nearly as meticulous as the ZAD20, the sound of the ZAD is fuller and richer, and the playability of ZAD20 is, at least for me and my style, far superior.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
What I love the most about my new ZAD20 is the sound and the playability. I have been playing at an intermediate level for over 30 years, and have played friends' instruments, tried out many guitars in various stores, not to mention all those years of playing my Ovation( which, incidently, never sounded as good as the ZAD20, even when it was new). The tone, the fullness, and the sustain, and the amazing playability of this ZAD20 surpass everything else I have played. The look and finish of the guitar top it all off and result in a complete instrument that can be played and displayed with confidence and pride.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Having had some exposure over the years to several high-end guitars, if I had seen and played the ZAD20 without any prior knowledge, I would have estimated its price to be at least around $1000. This instrument sets a new bar for the definition of "value".
How would you rate customer support?
I have had this guitar for almost one month and have had no issues that required customer support. However, if the quick reply to my email to Denny Zager to express my initial safisfaction is any indication, I suspect that any issues would be addressed equally expediently.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would, without hesitation, recommend this guitar to anyone who has either a serious desire to learn, or anyone who has been playing and is looking for an upgrade. Many new students might be tempted to purchase what may appear to be an inexpensive, "descent", beginner guitar, only to be discouraged by an instrument that is hard to play, does not hold tune very well, and does not even sound very rewarding. Do it right from the start! The ZAD20 is a tremendous value. If you then find that playing guitar is not for you - for whatever reason that I could not imagine - then at least you can confidently rule out that it was not the instrument itself that contributed to that decision. For someone who has been playing and is looking for a step up, all I can say is, "Get a Zager!" When you receive it, everything you already love about playing guitar will most certainly be magnified.

I am already looking forward to the prospect of upgrading... My daughter seems to be showing a serious interest in learning guitar. If that interest pans out, I will have no choice but to give her the best opportunity for success by offering her my ZAD20, and looking to a ZAD80 for myself.

I have been playing at an intermediate level for over 30 years, and have played friends' instruments, tried out many guitars in various stores, not to mention all those years of playing my Ovation( which, incidently, never sounded as good as the ZAD20, even when it was new). The tone, the fullness, and the sustain, and the amazing playability of this ZAD20 surpass everything else I have played. The look and finish of the guitar top it all off and result in a complete instrument that can be played and displayed with confidence and pride.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Having had some exposure over the years to several high-end guitars, if I had seen and played the ZAD20 without any prior knowledge, I would have estimated its price to be at least around $1000. This instrument sets a new bar for the definition of "value".
How would you rate customer support?
I have had this guitar for almost one month and have had no issues that required customer support. However, if the quick reply to my email to Denny Zager to express my initial safisfaction is any indication, I suspect that any issues would be addressed equally expediently.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would, without hesitation, recommend this guitar to anyone who has either a serious desire to learn, or anyone who has been playing and is looking for an upgrade. Many new students might be tempted to purchase what may appear to be an inexpensive, "descent", beginner guitar, only to be discouraged by an instrument that is hard to play, does not hold tune very well, and does not even sound very rewarding. Do it right from the start! The ZAD20 is a tremendous value. If you then find that playing guitar is not for you - for whatever reason that I could not imagine - then at least you can confidently rule out that it was not the instrument itself that contributed to that decision. For someone who has been playing and is looking for a step up, all I can say is, "Get a Zager!" When you receive it, everything you already love about playing guitar will most certainly be magnified.

I am already looking forward to the prospect of upgrading... My daughter seems to be showing a serious interest in learning guitar. If that interest pans out, I will have no choice but to give her the best opportunity for success by offering her my ZAD20, and looking to a ZAD80 for myself.

I have owned numerous acoustics in the 15 or so years I have been playing. Including an Ibanez AEF18NT, Ovation celebrity custom, and a Taylor 200ce. As far as the action goes my Zager blows all of them out of the water. It is reliable, it was inexpensive, and it looks great. My Taylor's tone is hard to match but for the price it ought to be.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The action by far, it is amazing! It plays faster than my Schecter CSH-1 semi hollow electric. I love the fact that I can practice for hours with very little strain on my fingers without having to sacrifice tone to do so.

I've been playing guitar over 40 years and currently own 10 guitars including a Martin Custom and a Gallagher G45. The Martin has been reworked moving the action as low as possible without any buzzing. My zad20e is equal to the Martin's playability, however the Martin's sound is almost muffled compared to the bright vibrant sound of the Zager. And that's with new strings on both.
